Oh! you left us too early, too soon
Into that sad and forlorn sunset
Leaving many in shock and grief to swoon
With a eternal void too hard to forget

Phillip, someday, sometime
All of us hope to see you
Back on the pitch batting fine
On a greener turf below a sky bright and blue

And then we shall together once again
Celebrate the joy of life anew
And everything will be just the same
As it was down here; fresh as morning dew.........
