Photon, Interrupted Poem by Mark Sauer

Photon, Interrupted

The photon interrupted wakes
From cee's timeless hibernation,
And falling into now it takes
Its first glance since Creation,
Streaking from Lux Fiat's splendor
In a blink of ten billion years
To sudden tardiness. Before
It knows it's slowed cold void appears;
Infinite entangled others
Sing to it the vast shape of things
Born whilst it gleamed and its brothers
Sluggish danced; the collision brings
It falling wond'ring from the sky
To bounce just now into your eye.
