Pick Up Pumpkins Poem by Ima Ryma

Pick Up Pumpkins

It is a lovely autumn day.
Piled up in the back of a truck,
We pumpkins are on our way
To serve good purpose with good luck.
All through the summer we've grown so
We can become a bumper crop,
Off to humanity to go,
Each one of us to reach a stop
Where orange outsides can be cut up
Into a Jack-O-Lantern face,
And insides made into pies, yup.
Indeed it's our time and place.

We pumpkins expect to carve out
A fun fall fest for some no doubt.
