Piece By Piece Poem by Floyd Zimmerman

Piece By Piece

Rating: 4.5

The melancholy within these veins,
The soft lament upon the breeze.
The daffodil wilting in the rain,
The tears bound for Sorrow's slave.
Treading carefully amongst the graves
Of all the dreams we left behind,
Upon the parting of the ways.
As you left me for the light,
And cast me away into the dark
To bleed,
And cough up the jagged shards
Of an ever bleeding breaking heart,
That I shall collect
In a jar to keep
(And send to you

A sad poem yet stemming from the heart! well-collected pieces and well-transformed into a poem.
