Pitter Patter Poem by Alex Lemen

Pitter Patter

As the pitter patter
From simple little matter
Left me torn from laughter
Would eventually mean nothing
But to me, you were everything
Walking aimlessly around this town
From morning til hours from now
All of which in the rain.
The pitter patter left me a thought to ponder
If all I'm worth is walking down a street in the rain
If all I am is the source of other's pain,
Why bother living with so little to gain?
