Plant Slant Poem by Ima Ryma

Plant Slant

I am a hibiscus plant that
Finds myself in a potted way,
And in some high rise habitat.
With human folks I'm here to stay.
The human gal seemed quite impressed
That in just one day I did bloom.
I want to look my very best,
And so do humans I assume.
I can last for years in this pot
If I am given needed care.
I do like the sunlight a lot,
And like misting on my leaves there.

If humans take good care of me,
A happy hibiscus I'll be.
