Pleasant Wait Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Pleasant Wait

Bus stand
In Iceland
Was thinly
Crowded.

Little girl
Dressed in red
Walked with poise
In matching boots.

Her mother walked
Here and there
The girl marched
In step with mom.

Mother turned
To juice stand
The girl sipped
In happy mood.

The wait was over
Grandpa arrived
The girl's joy
Knew no bounds.

Hug and kiss
Clearly expressed
Hidden emotions
Of a pleasant wait.
