Please Be Mine

I'm trying my best,
You are unique,
Not like the rest,
You are special to my heart,
Please be mine.

Your pretty smile,
I dream of you every night,
Your shining eyes,
I think of you all the time,
Please give me a chance,
Just be mine.

When i'm with you,
I forget my pain,
Its always so hard to let you go,
You bring me joy,
i wish we could be more than friends,
I need you,
Please be mine.

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.
