Please Be Not Afraid Poem by Felix Emeka George

Please Be Not Afraid

On this year Valentine's Day.
I received two special roses
one adjoined to one,
two in one
Like roses come like never to die

In happiness and love in days of freshness
One rose then grows old and the scent of its beauty is dying.
For this am sober and sad
As this life unlocks two friends.

Do not be sad, on this earth
Death is the only accomplishment guaranteed.
In due day on this earth, none will be alive of this generation.
The reality is here as it happens,
Our grand fathers are all gone.

All worries, Fear of death is dead.
I am unafraid, I am free to live
The earth is the earth home
Like a root that never dies
This earth is the homely ever rose.
