Pleasures You Bring. Poem by Safiyyah Manjra

Pleasures You Bring.

Rating: 5.0

Earlier today we had chats,
Little things we recollect in our minds,
Those conjuring chimes.

I have to stop asking you so many questions.
You are beginning to notice my weird quirks,
All of a sudden you become more real to me.

You are noticing my flaws.
My quirks,
My ways and mishaps.
Most importantly you are navigating,
Around the path I find wandering,
My thoughts.

You are asking me my motive,
'Why do I keep showing up? '
Is it because I find you so easy to speak to?
Easier than my parents, I guess that's why I am a bit drawn to you.

You seem more of a protective shield,
Nurturing my effective charge.
Sometimes you are so kind,
I don't think you notice which I frankly don't mind.

Sometimes I like to think I meet people by fate,
Getting to know you was truly entering a different gate.
I am very weak,
Especially, when I let my heart felt emotions leak.

I guess you are one of the few,
Who I feel constantly indebted to.
Although I will never be able to show you.

I hope you recollect on these fond memories,
Having little discrepancies.
I won't apologize for nagging you,
As it brings me unconditional laughter.
I'm sorry but it's one of those things I will do forever after.

Till next time Sir...
