Safiyyah Manjra Poems

The pain of the heart.
After trying something which once kept you together.
Is now tearing you apart.
...

Those warm showers at night,
Which comfort us before sleep.

The kiss,
...

To me Mathematics is an Art.
See things differently,
Every new implication is another discovery.
...

Torn between worlds,
Shattered between decisions,
To find a life longing profession.
...

What would be a nice gift for myself?

I thought of maybe a new bracelet,
Or a shoe with a comfortable fit.
...

I always have this urge to feed someone,
Be someone they can rely on,
Take care of them and feel as one.
...

I am interested in publishing a book,
If anyone can help,
Please give my poetry a look.
...

Kiss me,
Beneath the stars in the cold night,
That I may stand strong and not fright.
Brush your fingers through my hair,
...

I want you to really say those words this time,
The ones which make my mind intertwine.

It has been too long with this tension.
...

I turn pages of these books,
That has me leached on to its hooks.

I have to read.
...

If true love could speak,
Ego won't have the ears to hear it.

For eyes bewitched by cries,
...

Love's partition.
A mathematical statement in cognition.

Bellowed by the arms of turmoil,
...

Today I got accepted into my local medical school.
As a back-up in case funding for the PhD doesn't take the rule.

I grew up with a sister being partially blind.
...

It is not every day that visions are clear.
Sometimes it can all become a blur,
Especially on cold nights when you are very tired and need to curl with your blanket of fur.
...

Are we all condemned or chained to the thoughts in our mind?
Which are at the expense of time.

How many minutes have you spent like Gatsby?
...

Age is a just a number.

So they say,
Why does it have such a big part to play?
...

Today I sat alone at a table for two.
I saw couples walk in,
One after the other.
...

These cordial arrangements,
Paint themselves into drastic predicaments

With homely timing,
...

Standing here in the lit room,
You know exactly what to say when everything feels gloom.

The way you surprise me is like no other.
...

So they asked me why I became a peer helper?
The answer was simple because I genuinely didn't want to see students suffer.
Any longer.

The Best Poem Of Safiyyah Manjra

Fail With Repeat.

The pain of the heart.
After trying something which once kept you together.
Is now tearing you apart.

The biggest failure is the one I see in myself.
Hiding and fearing a repeat.
Shall I display my grades on a shelf?

Trying effortlessly.
Getting somewhere.
Yet feeling like nowhere surprisingly.

If every student felt the call to success ringinging,
Then wouldn't each call?
Be answered instead of suppressing?

I have support to continue.
Though he may only be one,
I am thankful he is none of few.

I will try again.
Like I always do.
Refrain from the pain

A lecturer's bias disdain,
Definitely without doubt,
Can only hold so much claim.
