Plunged Into Hell Poem by Cody O'Hara

Plunged Into Hell

If I were to be plunged
Into the very pits of hell,

Where skin melts from bone
And the tortured scream in agony,

Would any of those who claim
They would save me come,

Would any of them really care enough
Or even attempt to brave hell

When they knew the risks
And saw the signs warning to turn back,

Or would they find their words empty
And simply leave my body for the crows

To slowly be pecked away until I am
Nothing more than a shade of memory,

But the true question is, would I go
To hell to save them, could I,

And would I leave them for the crows
Until they are nothing more than a shade of memory...
