Poem 6 (Together At Last) Poem by C Jay Caputo

Poem 6 (Together At Last)

Together at last
Only to be separated by time
For Darkness is the only interceptor of love
Yet, love can overcome this obstacle
Looked upon with optimistic eyes
Is there not plenty of time in a lifetime?
The night is but for slumber, or admiration of the moon
Shall we rest?
So we may admire one another come sun rise
