Poem For Gaza Poem by mary warnick

Poem For Gaza

Rating: 5.0

Dear Gaza,

The world stands in horror and disbelief
As right before our eyes
Genocide is taking place
Built on an abundance of lies

Words cannot express to you
How the masses feel
Stunned and angered at the response of all Leaders
As if this isn't real

Millions of People across the globe
Are protesting in the streets
Demanding an end to the atrocities
Our hearts aching heavily as it beats

The collective Greed of all involved
Takes our breath away
Witnessing our 'so called Leaders' of the world
Either Vacationing or Out to Play...

We want you to know that you are not alone
To battle this unjust fight
As cowardly soldiers ramble on
To murder civilians throughout the night

Innocent women, children, and families
Being slaughtered day after day
Crooked politicians having closed door meetings
Debating what is Politically correct to say..

We mourn, we cry, we pray, we die
To stop this insane Beast
Starvation, torture, Crisis, Horror
While our leaders are indulging in yet another feast

This has to be the end of times
When human life can be dismissed
The silence for justice is deafening
Humanity is truly missed.........

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Feeling helpless watching the genocide of Gaza and knowing there is no World Leader coming to their aid I had to put in words as if to tell the poor victims that the people do care..
