Poem Pome Poom Peem

Rating: 5.0

The five vowels in a row
in poieein, to make,
are perhaps said o-e-i;
the whole word said po-e-ine.
Germans will know what I mean.

It's the Greek word
which 'poem' comes from -
from which comes 'poem',
which, because of 'hoe' and 'shoe',
you could say 'pome' and 'poom';
which, too,
it would seem,
because of 'Oedipus',
could be 'peem'.
