Poetry For Children: Eat Your Veggies (For Teacherc)

There's something I must tell you, you ought to know it too,
You have to eat your veggies, they're very good for you!
Last week I ate a pizza, with a lot of melted cheese,
My tummy ached for two days, that's a horrible desease!
And then I ate a burger with a bowl of hot french fries,
My tummy turned into a baloon of the most astounding size!
I rolled into the kitchen, with pleas of "Help me please! "
Mum shook her head so sadly, You've eaten too much cheese!
I couldn't play at recess, I was last in every race,
I fell asleep upon my skateboard, it was such a sad disgrace!
Then Mum hugged me very tight and made a carrot stew,
with lots of green vegebtables, She said "It's good for you! "
Soon I felt much better, my tummy stopped to ache,
I ran and jumped and skated, I was very wide awake!
So, listen to me children, if you want to run and skate,
Finish up those yummy veggies, lying on your plate!
