A butterfly upon the breeze,
floated to the wind-blown trees;
How it hoped to even dare,
to drift so high upon the air!
I watched with interest at it's flight
its wings were autumn leafy bright;
It flitted here and fluttered there,
a whimsy wisp upon the air!
Then drops of rain began to fall,
It wavered once, then not at all;
It kept its course, without a care,
upon the moisty misty air!
At last it settled 'neath a flower,
and waited out the moonsoon shower!

Very much goes with a flow, ideal for recitation. Well done.
There's so much rubbish posted on this site that it's nice to read something good for change - well done, like it!
