Poetry, How To Begin It? Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Poetry, How To Begin It?

Poetry as broken lines of prose,
The columns and paragraphs of of poesy,
Stanzas of verse,
Poetry as thoughts and ideas
And reflections,
Poetry as sweet remembrances and memoirs,
Scribbled and jotted down thoughts and ideas
Lest they may fly away and vanish,
Out of sight out of mind
And you trying to put down on paper
The unputdownable.

Poetry purely personal, privately individual
As for what one thinks, what one dreams,
What one opines, what one views,
What one reflects, what can assesses and analyzes,
How to say, how to say that
The thoughts and ideas lying within the layers of consciousness,
Under the conscious, sub-conscious, dark conscious levels and layers,
Poetry as feelings and emotions, residues of meaning,
Philosophies of life and the world,
Poetry myth and mysticism, metaphysics and spirituality,
What do you want to include and incorporate in, say you?
