Poetry can be
So much fun and joy
When playing with words
In olden days, ‘Samasya Pooran " was a popular game in verse making. The fourth line of shloka is composed by a poet and he challenges other poets to complete the shloka by composing the first three lines to make it meaningful.
Wow! That's a great game. I'll try playing it with some of my friends. Many thanks for sharing this, Poet Menon.
Poetry is a wonderful experience, while writing, while reading and while contemplating on it. I also enjoy exchanging views on poems with others. But I am not adept in playing with words. Though I enjoy it
Exchanging views on poems with others is for me so meaningful and rewarding. And sometimes, during that activity, playing with words, happens spontaneously
Tough to be on the wrong side of this one. How you holding up, my good friend?

Part 3. There is an interesting story about Great Kaalidasa. He was a member of the great nine poets in the Sadass of Emperor Vikramaditya of Ujjain. One of the fellow poets challenged him with a samasya. It read "Pipeelika Dantivaram Prasuute" meaning ‘An ant delivers an elephant'.
Fascinating! I'm already working on a poem with this theme. Thanks so much, Poet Menon.
