Pondering On His Existence Poem by Natasha Phillips

Pondering On His Existence

Lying here all alone i silently ponder.
Beside me was once a figure, a person, a lover.
Or was it just a figment of my imagination? Was he really here or was i just dreaming? ..........
No, it was real...i know it was. His scent still lingers in the atmosphere, there is an indelible impression on the pillow next to me.
I can almost still feel his hands caressing my thighs....my hips....my waistline.....my womanhood.
I remember him slowly entering while he whispers in my ear.
Yet... i look beside me and he is not here, i checked both doors and they are locked from the inside.
How could he have left at 2: 00 in the morning
leaving me here to ponder on his existence?
