Poor Jack The Ramp Poem by Francis Duggan

Poor Jack The Ramp

Rating: 5.0

Poor Jack the ramp is broke before dole day
And yet he doesn't seem to have a care
If I were him I shudder at the thought
I'd feel suicidal pulling out my hair.

He always has a big smile on his face
And I've yet to see him sad faced, feeling down
You'd swear he was a very wealthy man
And not one of the poor souls of the town.

His old landlady with him feels quite happy
He always pays his rent when it is due
And though he must go hungry for a few days
He smile and say what is a day or two.

Poor Jack the ramp is such a happy man
And he's only poor in a financial way
The stock market won't ever worry him
And every day for him a happy day.

Poor Jack the ramp the happiest man I know
And for sadness in his life he has no place
He's out of money before welfare day
But still he has a big smile on his face.
