Prayer is the key that unlocks heaven's gate
It lets you know that Jesus is your soul mate
Understand that with Him there's no stale date
And in His company you need no alternate

How often do you enter into His presence
Not realizing your conscious mind's absence
Before giving thanks you utter such nonsense
Not even thinking there will be consequence

Just take a moment and think of this
He left a model prayer that had no twist
Take time to read it in Matthew chapter six
The gist of what I'm saying you won't miss

So when you pray address Him personally
Bow sacredly before Him in deep humility
Express your gratitude to Him thankfully
You can be sure He will bless you eternally
