When I listen to someone grieving
Give me the wisdom to listen
to love,
Not to justify and give reason
For pain is not right or wrong
it is
All it wants to do is to be heard acknowledged and released
Its not asking you to put it in the court room
to be tried
It doesn't seek balanced justice.
It needs to be heard by ears which are willing to heal it
not mock it
Nor to belittle it or suffocate it
with its own self righteousness
be gentle
When you help me grow universe
help me be the person who can release the pain
and not
One who traps it further with good advice
Give me the courage to lick my own wounds
To absorb
Some of others without resentment.
Help me grow! !
