Prayer For Grace Poem by Marissa Rodgers

Prayer For Grace

I'm tired of defending my sin;
I'm done making excuses for the places I've been.

I don't want to live this way any longer.
God, grant me the grace to be stronger.

I know I've said it many a time before,
But I'll give it my best shot once more.

I know You're always there,
With Your hand outstretched to take on all my care.

My heart cries out for a change deeper than the outside;
My spirit longs once more to be alive.

So I welcome You back in
To make me new and cleanse me from all sin.

I put my trust in You;
With Your hand in mine, I am made anew.
