Mighty, mighty Lord I surrender
My day is bright but sorrow always near
Help me drink from your fountain of hope and live
Fill my spirit with verve and bring me closer to thee

I have you on my side, but I frail and worry
The world, its afflictions, me to the rescue
My penance so it be? Still, I cry
My destiny fulfilled I wait, thus, all to you I surrender

I come to thee, heavy at heart and torn inside
Shameful are my ways, on my knees forgive my sins
Lead me to your fountain, free me from sin
A helpful heart give me, a kind spirit let me have

I know ways to see you - help me lord
Change my situation, change my direction
Let your heart be my guide, let your blood cover me
May your light shine through to me and free me from sin
