I've prayed for you…
The one that broke her heart
That you change your ways and actions
So the next girl won't have to suffer like she did
Because no heart deserves to be tarnished
I prayed that you'd view the world outside of your neighborhood
And that mindset that your mother left with you when you were just a babe
The day that she left you on your father's doorstep, motherless.
That bitter thought she left in your head that all women are the spiteful.
I prayed that you'd be free from hate.


I've prayed for you…..
Ignorant little girl, with mouth full of bitter
That today would be the day you quit trying to grow up so fast.
Not letting the bump on your chest control your stride.
That you'd quit trying to walk in those 6 inch heels,
That clearly makes you look like a 3 year old playing dress up.
The fact that your legs open faster than Brands Mart during blackfriday is not appealing.
You should slow down, see the world clearly through those green eyes
I prayed that you'd get your youth back.


I've prayed for you…..
Over dedicated and reaping nothing but pain
You've invested so much time into ‘nothing'
Always ordered and never praised for your doings
I see you making house a home to an abuser
He's no longer your soul mate but soul master
Your life is in his hands, through his eyes at least.
Your days are filled with labor and nights filled with screams
I prayed that you'd be strong enough to leave.


I've prayed for you……
Broken soul just lying on the street, homeless
Mind cloudy from the drugs you've consumed and poisoned yourself with
Finding relief in the pipe needle and fumes of being high
To make yourself feel better for the mistakes you've made
The road you've chosen to take because you're afraid of life
Begging by passers to give you back your life in a single dollar
I prayed you get up and trust in God.

I prayed for you
So when you think God hasn't heard your prayers,
Just remember this……I PRAYED FOR YOU!
