Pre-Ordained Poem by Paul WilsonSuffield

Pre-Ordained

When you love someone, don’t just throw them aside
Then your feelings for them try to hide.
You can say you want freedom and others to meet
Leaving the one that cares a mess at your feet.
Its fun exciting the high lasts a long time
You may even find a man that falls into line.
But then the excitement and fun runs dry
And the question arises WHY, WHY, WHY?
Why am I not happy, why don’t I care?
Why cant I love the man whose bed I share?
Like the sun every morning as the dawn again breaks
It’s the love of your life for whom your heart aches.
I would walk on broken glass, burning embers, stand in line
Till you come to your senses where your heart can be mine.
So together our bodies can make a child out of love
To seal our union, pre-ordained from above.
