Preach Not To Please (2)

Perhaps in church, you’re seen as least!
Though Christ has set you free
Yet you in truth can help; the priest
When through the Lord you see!

For by God’s grace we’re not our own
When Christ we’ve made our choice
The church must know what God has shown
Through those who hear His voice

The Lord may speak in many ways
In church and on the street
Through all of flesh in latter days –Joel.1.2: 28
He’ll wash His children’s feet –Jn.13: 14

Through faith God’s children learn to see
Be humble meek and true
Could be the Lord will set them free
Through no one else but you

When children heed, they’ll understand
God’s truth has come to dwell
They’ll flourish in the Master’s hand
Who’ll save from certain hell

Yet many in the church will fall
Where hearts are filled with pride
Where shepherds think they have it all
Yet Christ is not inside

Be unafraid to spread God’s word
If truth through Christ is yours
Shine forth your light, that when it’s heard
The Lord can open doors

The gifts of God assist the priest
That none should fall or stray
For God on earth can use the least
A child may lead the way
