Preach Not To Please (1)

Woe to the churches led by man
Without Salvation’s call
Who think to know the Father’s plan
Yet have no clue at all

They fail God’s flock The Truth to see
They’re deaf to all He’d say
Where do such shepherds think to be?
At close of judgement day?

But when God’s church is led by Him!
Then all inside will know
His children’s eyes are far from dim
They’ll all know where to go

Too much; is spread this sad disease
How far, is hard to tell
But priests who try their church to please
Could preach them all to hell

Can they not see when so at fault
Their words can do no good
Yet seasoned with the Father’s salt
They’d preach the way they should

Man’s church at first looks strong and blessed
Their buildings stand so stall
But where the Lord is not to guest
That church is bound to fall

On solid ground, the bride should stand
Should teach what Jesus gives
Spread deep God’s seed in every land
To show the world He lives

Upon this! Rock we need to build
On Christ, not flesh and bone
God’s church will then be Spirit filled
And led by Him alone…
