Pretending To Mend Poem by Kyle Costa

Pretending To Mend

Rating: 4.0

Making things up to hold me over was
so much easier growing up. What got heavier,
the burdens or the years?
I wasn't built for this style of melee;
it takes more from me every time.

If there really IS 'melee' in your life ....[[ melee: A confused tumultuous mingling; a confused struggle ]]....GOOD LUCK!

Does this poem's first two lines mean that you've fantasized [rather than 'face' reality] to get through life? Or are you fantasizing with this poem to entertain (you and me) ? ? ? ?

Kyle, IGNORE the 'gggg'. I was testing PH as it gave me a 'weird' message and a red circle with a white X in it when I tried twice to send a comment.
