Prettier Poem by Rebecca Stansfield

Prettier

Day is dying inside of me,
I look at the window pane,
And the white wooden slab is sitting there,
Like me sitting lame.
The curtains hanging over her,
Are almost like make-up on my pallet,
But of course they make her look prettier,
And I'm nothing anymore.
