Price Of Lies Poem by Paul Sebastian

Price Of Lies

Lie followed by lies
String to reveal you
Break friendship ties
Statue of trust is hewed

Relationship strives to grow
Weeds of distrust creep to choke
Love suffers, strains to show
Love could die, with one stroke

Responsibility has no reason
Commitment lazes carelessly
Love enters cold winter season
Nagging pain eats up surreptitiously

You nursed your fear
Wrapped your guilt
Insecurity overtly appear
In desperation, you wilt

White lies, charcoal lies
You tell, because you fear
Loss of friendship ties
And how you’d appear

You blame the Father of Lies
Seducer of your life’s mistakes
Blame your uncanny soul ties
Curse errant youth high stakes

Hurts, rejections, disillusions,
Painful memories, survived wreck
Love and relationship suspicions
Cast aspersions on true love’s track

Broiled in emotional conflicts
Failure-bruised, dipped self-esteem
Defensive anger act as shields
Sensitive, manipulative you seem

You could rewrite your life-script
Change lifestyle, make a paradigm shift
You could choose to do nothing, skip
Or choose to make your joy complete
Your life is in your hands
Choose, make your stand!

So true, Paul I always say: if the one, whom you love, can not trust you 100%, perhaps your love is not too real
