Prickly Thorns Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

Prickly Thorns

Rating: 5.0

And kissed her close
On her petal lips
For sweet bliss.

I was oblivious
Of the thorn
That gave me a prick
And bled me sick.

Fantastic, an old metaphor put in a splendid new dress. I like it. 10+

Amazing flow, rhythm and rhyme, and a direct analogy to how Love affects our emotional state: from bliss to disappointment. A lovely write.
