Pricks And Dicks Poem by Mark Leash

Pricks And Dicks

I've found myself
looking for that one thing
that one thing that will set me free
and i roam around the city at night
cats and dogs and rats
and even fist fights
and I can't really find the fountain of youth
I see all these
pricks
and I envy their wealth and local fame
and their ability to make someone say
'hey, that might not be bad at all'
dicks
thats what they are.
And I keep running
and I keep crying
and I keep hoping
not for a new idea or even a fine lyric
just
a glimpse
a tiny little glimpse
of an honest smile
an honest commentary
not from these pricks and dicks
but from someone who could
see
what I really am
what I fight for
what I've fought for
becuase now
I wave my white flag
and declare myself
a prick and a dick.
