*** (Princess Indian) Slow The Love *** Poem by ANJALI SINHA

*** (Princess Indian) Slow The Love ***

Rating: 4.2

Wrapped in finest
crimson silks,
adorned in jewels
around her neck
in worship for love
with a heart of gold
In dreams one starry night
a shatterred heart
in pieces, like thunders,
had a nightmare of dreams
in loves temple
where she awaited her love
under the open skies

From princess regal
a gypsy she turned,
from silken drapes
and cushions on throne,
to a mat of straw
and broken pieces in silk.
Into those flames
of fragrant sandalwood
dust she turned.
The cinerary showed
the many nights
and days
out in the spell
with feet bare
towards that
unknown destination

That love's journey
not a pot of roses,
the envy she killed
and jealousy repelled
freedom she sought
and her heart she followed
for her lover was waiting
In the stars and the moons.
The old mystics words of wisdom
ring in her ears
two birds following against the wind
like a flock of swans
in a migration to plains
she knows not
for the distance of ages,
but knows for sure

SHE WILL SEE HER PRINCE.

you have created a beautiful atmosphere of palace, harem, of princely household, of costume, of the royal touch by beautifully choosing right words for your poem, the beauty of this poem lies in the fact that the reader is transported to a moghul period of aristocracy and prosperity.thanx
