Prison Walls Poem by Santiago Lopez

Prison Walls

If these walls could talk. They would tell the stories of countless souls. Souls with solitary hearts. The cries and screams of damaged lives. Of broken roads. Trapped beings. Behind these prison walls.

If these walls could talk they would tell countless stories. Stories of men and women who went beyond their means. Thinking that they could be above the law. And live unseen.

If these walls could talk. Talk to you and I. They would shed tears. Tears for the innocent lives. Lives that have been scorned. For everyone isn't guilty. And most of the time justice is unjust... And innocence is stained filthy.
