The Stage Poem by Santiago Lopez

The Stage

The stage is set for the night.
Dimmed beams of candlelight.
Flowered bed of roses.
Champagne bottles on ice, glasses for a toast.
Red silk silhouettes upon a canopy bed.
As you enter the room wearing a black negligee.
Colorful expressions grace your face.
Shy nervousness like if you're in a play.
Sexual affection.

You're a magical perfection.
Heartbeats race for what is about to take place.
Shine a spotlight for you and I.
For the bedroom is about to get live.
Once you and I dive in the direction of love.
The stage is set... let's experience heaven.
And everything above.
