Procrastinating Heartache Poem by Aidan Clevinger

Procrastinating Heartache

Rating: 4.5

A bus, a plane, a boat,
All of them took me away.
I had to get out of that house,
I simply couldn't stay.

You've made it pretty clear you're going,
Though you haven't had the guts to say it.
But since you act like you're not going,
That's the way I'm going to play it.

These Parisian lights are great so far,
I'm out to spend my every cent.
With a hole in my pocket and an open road,
I'll feign indifference.

This crash course in hurting is tough,
Sometime soon I'll have to break.
The final is coming, I should be preparing,
But I'm procrastinating heartache.
