Promise Poem by Joana Marie Ferry

Promise

Rating: 5.0

The sun, the moon and the stars,
The air, the water and the land.
The flower, the trees and the grass,
They all joyfully witness the promises we had,

Past left behind, present in disguise,
Your deceits are my truths and my lies.
You deliver successfully your righteous words
Trials are better than fords.

Tomorrow, I'll rise up
Our memories have gone back
To your skinny lines and unwanted lies
And to your unforgettable painful goodbyes.

I'll never forget this promise
But I'll rise up every time I hear this,
You made me believe, achieve and live,
In the land of your unknown message.

very interesting poem. It evokes the feeling of passion and pain. A love promised dies, of deceiving lies. Keep writing. I enjoyed reading it.

very interesting poem. I enjoyed reading it. How love promised so quickly dies, buried in lies. Keep writing Joana
