Prophetess Of Love Poem by Kamarudeen Mustapha

Prophetess Of Love

I love the way you stretch my veins
Like string of immortal lyre serenading
And elongate them the height of the sky
I love the way your smile caused rainfall
From the arid sky of my hot afternoon
To rewrite the fortunes of a scalding desert
I love the way you made me discover new Milky Ways
Through the tresses of your eyelashes
I love the way you hatched storms and thunders
In the quietude of my heart brimming with your nuances
I love the peace after warfare
The no winner no vanquished declaration
Though I know the amount of ransom I paid in tears
Before my veins found succour in sync with my passion
When the rain came to sweet end
And the hot breeze lulled me with breeze
And I rule the Milky Way you chartered
Under the sway of your new anointing
