Protest Signs, Easels, Pools, Mirrors Poem by Saiom Shriver

Protest Signs, Easels, Pools, Mirrors

The protest sign
puts forth an opinion.

The empty easel
invites brush and pen.

The reflecting pool
shows Narcissus his
face, sometimes fragmented
by the wind.

The mirror shows
the passerby her face,
sometimes distorted by
dust and lack of light.

The eyes of the Lover
show the Beloved
that she like all
is made of Love.
