Proud

Dampen my smile and squeeze out the positive like a wet sponge and
Drip it over the disposed white background, into your expressionless thoughts
Let it leak self- worthy into your life
Then you’ll know, that I’m always proud of you

Watch yourself pour more and more lost memories into the empty glass
Then swipe the forgotten success into your eyes
And bleed out the failure you think you’ve been
Maybe you’ll realise that you’re the shooting star I see every day…

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
