Like rabid dogs my trials surround me
I hear them howling in the night
I seek some solace from my bed
But all my sleep has taken flight
Awake to me in all my troubles
For you alone Lord are my shield
On every side I am surrounded
As I fall down on the battle-field
Consume them Lord consume the darkness
Deliver me from every fear
Lift my head that I may see you
Let me know that you are near
