My heart is filled with thankfulness,
With all that is within me I shall sing your praises.
I shall declare your wonderful works
O God, my Glorious Savior.
My enemies retreat, for they cannot stand in your holy grandeur.
O death where is your sting?
O death, where is your victory? *
For my God has risen above the grave
And ascended victoriously!
His enduring existence,
And His unchanging dominion,
Has established the immovable foundation
Of everlasting joy in me.
Heaven's throne ministers judgement in uprightness-
In Him is refuge for the oppressed,
Our impenetrable defense-
His Divine authority.
With unhesitating confidence
I exult in my eternal security.
What mercy is extended
To all who seek you in humility,
Be gracious to me, Lord.
For I serve you with fear and trembling.**
My heart is filled with thankfulness,
With all that is within me I shall sing your praises.
I shall declare your wonderful works
O God, my Glorious Savior.
My enemies retreat, for they cannot stand in your holy grandeur.
