Public Display Of Betrayal Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Public Display Of Betrayal

Rating: 2.5

Wanting to be seen.
As the ones on top.
Choosing others,
To belittle and demean.
Now the infighting begins.
Between themselves has begun.
With a backbiting each other.
To do with the same deceptions done.
Use to convince and depict others,
As wanting to get more attention.
But together their own egos.
Would not permit their doing with
a wickedness,
For either one of them to sit knowing.
How they arrived to achieve,
Their popularity received.
By lieing on others.
And now those 'others' sit back to see.
Who amongst them had been,
Evil.
Distrusting.
And deluded to perceive,
Their addiction to just want attention.
Do it.
Done to destroy themselves.
In a public display of betrayal.
