Public Speech Poem by David Darbyshire

Public Speech

Rating: 4.5

Does anyone ever listen to what I say?
No but they do watch my mouth move.
Does anyone listen to what you say?
Yes, it seams you have something to prove.

So what did I say, does anyone listen to me?
In one ear out the other, how can it be?
Do I not speak clear, my language you understand.
Should I shout like a General, giving a command?

You talk so sweet and calm, but with conviction.
Maybe it's my words? , I will work on my diction.
To stand in front of a audience, give a public speech.
This is what I long for, I should practice what I preach.
