Pulling It Apart Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Pulling It Apart

Rating: 5.0

It is there for what it is.
To be appreciated for what it does.
Dissect it...
And it loses its significance.
Becoming worthless.
Nothing is achieved.
Nothing remains.
It is gone.
The value once priceless,
Can never be duplicated!
That wasn't the intention...
When it came.
Pulling it apart...
Leaves no memories to cherish.

Hey there, friend...you do seem a bit down! And that cannot be, coming from one as astute and gifted as you! I was surfing the net the other night, and guess what i saw? A picture of you, yes you, now i have a face to go with the voice on the phone! You look exactly as i had pictured you...although i will admit, that i didn't perceive the dreadlocks, and they look so cool. I had to wonder when the pic was taken, as you look so very youthful in it! Hey, Master Poet, Savant, Song Writer, Actor Supreme, Cheer Pp...Please! Always, Theo
