Pure Pain Poem by Sandra Black

Pure Pain

Pure pain overflows
And the worst part he knows
He cares not anymore
Just fills me with more woes

I have to break free
No more do I need this anxiety
Divided loyalties
And broken dreams

A crack in the heart runs deep
And green oooze begins to seep
Mend me quick
In dollops of love

Mend it right
Before It's filled with blight
Mend the broken pieces
Sew them all together

It seems a futile act
To stay anymore together
I resign to my fate
There are for you better dates

But tis as they say
Better to have loved and lost
Than not to have loved at all
Not to have lived at all
