Pushing Me Away

Split my spirit
Destroy my heart
We are readily drifting apart

One damn wish
A million lies
Struggling just to find worth in your eyes

In shadows of darkness
I hide my pride
I know I love you deep down inside

Biting my lip
Trials of pain
I just want to be your friend again

Tears of anguish
Deception and deceit
You’ve lost my trust so I admit defeat

What’s more to do
What’s left to say
All your selfishness is pushing me away
