Questions I Have At 1am Poem by Karl Newton

Questions I Have At 1am

Every night
About 1am without fail
Random thoughts enter my head
Keeping me led
Wide awake
In my bed

Thoughts like
What is life really all about?
What was the man who discovered milking cows first playing at?
What came first the egg or the chicken?
If all the worlds a stage, where does the audience sit?
Why is yawning contagious?
What happens if Pinocchio says "My nose is going to grow now"?
Can you cry under water?
If people from Poland are called ‘Poles' why aren't people from Holland called ‘Holes'?
If a word is misspelled in a dictionary, how will anyone ever know?
If bread is square, why are slices of meat circle?
How come they sell tins of 8 hotdogs, but packs of 6 buns?
Why do people say they "Slept like a baby" when babies wake up every few hours?
Do you wake up or open your eyes first?
How old do you have to be to die of old age?
Why does grass only smell when you cut it?
What is another word for Thesaurus?
Why are you ‘in' a movie but only ‘on' TV?

Random pointless questions
That often consume my mind
When I'm trying to unwind
And go to sleep
At 1am in a morning
Mind running deep
Hyperactivitie
No good counting sheep
Dam I just need sleep
